Inland Rail Gets Critical State Infrastructure Status

NSW GOVERNMENT DOUBLES DOWN ON RAIL NETWORK INVESTMENT

EMS Group welcomes last week’s NSW Government decision to give Critical State Infrastructure status to two stages of the Melbourne to Brisbane Inland Rail project.

“Coming not long after the state government’s decision to invest in a Regional Rail Network maintenance facility right here in Dubbo, this development further emphasises the importance of our decision to expand our investment in rail,” EMS Group Director, Tom Cavanagh said..

“Dubbo is well placed to benefit from the jobs and economic development that will flow from the Parkes to Narromine and Narrabri to North Star sections of the Inland Rail.”

Tom said EMS Group’s recent investment in additional rail-specific equipment was well-timed.

“We’ve made a significant investment in rail equipment and our Equipment and Labour Hire Manager, Matt Martin has extensive experience in rail equipment.”

“We’ve built our fleet around our existing clients’ specific needs,” Matt said.

The recently acquired rail equipment machinery is already on consignment to project work across NSW Australia, ranging from loading rail trains and regulating ballast.

“At EMS we are ready to go when work starts on the Parkes to Narromine section early in 2018,” Tom said.
