Wes was 22 when he launched the business, which started with one Bobcat and a tipper truck. Today, he has grown the business to include a highly successful plant hire operation of 400+ equipment, bulk earthworks, civil construction, quarry business, and also a crushing and screening contract hire, along with a residential and commercial property division. Wes is now supported by a team of dedicated staff with the same vision and strong culture, all of whom endeavour to continue to grow the business.
Craig joined Maas in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for all financial aspects of the Group, including accounting, treasury, budgeting and tax. Craig has over 25 years of experience and previously held executive roles, including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer for ASX Listed Entities Devine Limited and Unity Pacific Group Limited (formerly Trinity Group Limited). Craig holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) and is a Chartered Accountant.
Andy joined Maas in 2019 with the objective of delivering profitable growth and operational excellence, specifically focused on the Commercial Property portfolio and Maas Group integration. Andy has over 20 years in leadership roles across sales, operations and finance, with an esteemed career carved out across various divisions of Brambles Ltd (ASX: BXB) and Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM) integrating Recall (ASX: REC). Andy is a Six Sigma Black Belt, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with majors in Marketing, Management and Human Resources and a Masters of Business Administration (MBAx) with a major in Technology.
Candice is an experienced senior executive having held Company Secretary and senior legal counsel positions across the mining, technology and professional services sectors. She has a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Newcastle and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Queensland and is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
Tanya joined Maas in July 2019 with over 20 years of experience in the property and construction sector, and a track record in the preparation and execution of IPO’s, acquisitions and post-transaction integration. Tanya has strong FP&A, financial management and accounting skills developed from a broad base of experience in large corporations, mid-size subsidiaries and start-ups. Tanya supports the growth across the real estate and construction segments.
Christine joined Maas in 2021 to lead health and safety functions at the company level. Prior to joining Maas, Christine was General Manager of Safety Risk and Governance at the Coliban Region Water Authority in Victoria. She also worked as Assurance Superintendent at Cadia Valley Operations (one of the world's largest gold mining companies) and Safety Consultant at Alkane Resources Limited (Tomingley Gold Operations). Christine holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science (OHS), Lead Auditor Integrated Management Systems Exemplar Global - AU TL QM EM OH, MAICD.
With more than 20 years of experience in hiring, operations and sales, Damien brings a comprehensive knowledge of the equipment and machinery industry. Damien spent many years working for a major equipment hire company. Damien has been with Maas since 2005 and oversees upwards of 100 employees and machinery at any given time.
Josh has been working in the electrical industry for 20 years, starting and building JLE Electrical for 15 years. Josh’s experience like JLE’s moves across the industry and specialises in Design, Engineering, Contracting and project delivery in the electrical infrastructure and construction industries.
Megan joined Maas in February 2022 and is responsible for the Corporate Finance activities of the Group, including business acquisitions and other corporate development activities. Megan has over 15 years of experience in Construction Materials and has previously held various strategy and finance roles at Holcim Australia & New Zealand. Megan holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant.
